Welcome strangers, students, websurfers. My name is Brendan Bosworth, and I've created this site as an overview of my work as a music educator in Seattle and the surrounding area. My own background as a guitarist is primarily as a rock and jazz player, and during my years at Carnegie Mellon University I studied with Pittsburgh jazz guitarist and composer Joe Negri. I have also had the privilege of studying with Eric Kloss, Wayne Krantz, Dan Libertino, David Pellow, Wayne Johnson, and many others. Since moving to Seattle, I've performed and recorded with projects including Friends for Heroes, Josh Ottum, Dolour, Thieves of Kailua, Shane Tutmarc, and Love in Space.
I'm currently offering private instruction and group guitar classes in four locations: Seattle's Central District, Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club, Music Works Northwest, and the Sammamish Plateau. Have a look at the upcoming schedule on the main page, and contact me if you'd like to talk about the best way for you to get started with guitar.
